Atomic Cat Pendant Necklace

Atomic Cat is a round illustrated pendant necklace with a gold-tone bezel and a black braided cord. A sleek black cat with golden eyes sits against luminous teal, surrounded by small cream and gold stars, dots and a coral boomerang shape.

Tall ears, a curling tail and a long seated silhouette give the cat its mid-century character. The small surrounding motifs add movement without crowding the figure. Cream and yellow details lift the dark silhouette, and the black cord carries that same strong line beyond the round setting.

Setting and Cord

The round setting measures approximately 1 inch across the outside bezel, excluding the bail. The illustrated inset sits beneath a clear domed cover, with a matching gold-tone bail carrying the black braided cord. The gold and other colors within the image are part of the printed artwork.

The smooth dome adds a gentle reflective surface over the illustration. The small circular format brings the graphic shapes together as one compact piece of wearable art. Its appeal lies in the contrast between the bright printed color and the simple outline of the setting.

Mid-Century Modern

Atomic Cat belongs to Mirabilia’s Mid-Century Modern collection, where clear forms and useful beauty make room for a little play. The familiar black-cat motif meets the collection’s Atomic and Luminous registers through its geometric silhouette, saturated teal and spare constellation of small shapes.

Wearing and Gifting

Wear it against a plain cream, black or teal top to keep the cat easy to see. It makes a thoughtful gift for a cat lover with an eye for graphic design, or for someone whose jewelry collection already includes a few playful, carefully chosen pieces.

The small scale makes the expression something to discover at close range. A familiar subject, a bright background and a few well-placed shapes are enough to give this cat its own personality.
