Blackbird in the Holly is a round white glazed ceramic Christmas ornament, 2.75 inches in diameter, with a gold hanging cord. Its printed illustration shows a male blackbird perched on a weathered garden gate, beside glossy holly leaves, red berries, and climbing ivy. The bird's golden beak and eye ring provide small bright details against its dark feathers.
Ceramic and printed detail
The contained illustration leaves white ceramic visible around the bird and foliage. This open space gives the fine feather lines, ivy stems, and worn gate wood room to be seen, while keeping the ornament's simple circular shape clear.
The artwork is flat UV print on the glazed ceramic surface. The gate, berries, and leaves are illustrated details rather than raised elements. A top hanging hole and gold cord complete the ornament, allowing it to be suspended from a Christmas tree or a small indoor display branch.
Winter in the Briar & Gable garden
This piece brings the garden into the Christmas at the Gable capsule. While the canvases show the house and its rooms, the blackbird belongs just beyond the door, perched among plants that keep their color through winter. Holly, ivy, and old timber continue the established language of Briar & Gable's English houses and gardens.
Deep green leaves, red berries, dark plumage, and white ceramic make a restrained seasonal palette. It works among warm tree lights and familiar collected ornaments, with the illustration offering something to notice at close range.
A small seasonal keepsake
Hang it where the bird can be seen clearly against the tree's foliage, or give it its own place on a simple ornament display. The garden subject also suits a quieter winter arrangement with natural wood and a few evergreen stems.
It is a considered gift for a gardener, a birdwatcher, or someone who remembers the birds visiting their own winter garden. As part of the six-piece Christmas capsule, it offers a smaller way to bring Briar & Gable home, with a subject that can return to the tree each December.
