Colors the Tide Leaves is an 8 × 8 inch canvas featuring a watercolor study of seven sea-glass fragments. Soft blue, sage green, pale aqua, milky white, and a small amber accent gather against a light background, with generous open space around their irregular shapes.

The illustration explores the frosted surfaces and translucent edges that make found glass worth a second look. Some fragments overlap, allowing one color to show through another. Others sit apart, their softened outlines and small variations recalling the discoveries made during a slow walk after the tide has gone out.

The Canvas

The centered artwork is printed on a square canvas with a 1-inch gallery wrap and a ¼-inch white border on every side. The pale ground and visible white edge keep the composition spacious. The glasslike surfaces and apparent depth belong to the printed watercolor image; the canvas contains no attached glass pieces.

At eight inches square, the piece fits naturally on a bookshelf, narrow ledge, writing desk, or within a small wall arrangement. Its uncluttered composition allows the blue and green shapes to remain the focus, even when viewed among books or other collected objects. It works particularly well beside pale wood, linen, white ceramics, and warm neutral walls.

From the Sea Glass Beach

Part of Salt & Story’s Sea Glass Beach capsule, this artwork turns attention toward the smaller things the shoreline leaves behind. Salt & Story is Mirabilia’s coastal world of return, familiar rituals, and objects softened by time. Here, that character appears through a handful of fragments rather than a broad harbor view.

Keeping a Little of the Coast

Choose it for a coastal reading corner, a quiet bedroom, or a workspace that welcomes a little color without a busy scene. It makes a thoughtful gift for a beachcomber, sea-glass collector, or someone whose favorite seaside souvenir is a small discovery carried home in a pocket. The palette offers an easy connection to coastal interiors throughout the year.
