Two ochre flowers sit among sweeping cobalt blue botanical curves on an ivory ground. The composition is made for the circular face, with the stems and leaves moving through the round shape. Painterly marks remain visible in the color, bringing the look of decorated ceramic into a small wearable artwork.

This is a decorative pendant, with its appeal in color, rhythm, and ornament. The floral language belongs to the same Sol & Sombra family as the Courtyard Bloom tray and the pitcher in Water Against the Wall. Each has its own composition suited to its surface, so the relationship is visible without repeating the same image.

A small artwork beneath glass

The round metal-plated setting measures approximately one inch across, excluding the bail. A smooth glass cabochon protects the printed artwork and gives the face a gentle dome. This version combines a gold-tone setting with a brown braided cord. The coordinating necklace cord is 20 inches long with a matching clasp. The pendant is designed in-house by Mirabilia and thoughtfully assembled.

Sol & Sombra takes its inspiration from a lived courtyard home in an unnamed southern Spanish town. Its world is shaped by the relationship between brilliant sun and cooling shade, privacy and welcome. Limewash, handled wood, terracotta, foliage, water, and blue ceramic appear through ordinary domestic moments. This piece brings one part of that imagined home into an object to live with.
