First Stripe of Sun Magnet

First Stripe of Sun Magnet is a 3 × 3-inch hardboard art magnet with a courtyard scene, rounded square corners, and a thin white border.

A doorway crossed by morning light

An aged wooden door opens toward a sheltered courtyard, where a woven chair waits beneath olive foliage. A narrow stripe of sun travels across the stone paving while the foreground stays cool. Limewashed walls, terracotta pots, and the dark grain of the door give the scene its texture. The chair and folded cloth suggest an ordinary morning already in progress, with space left for someone to return.

The eye moves from shaded paving through the doorway toward the brighter wall beyond. That transition gives the small composition depth without relying on a distant panorama. Olive green, weathered brown, and pale ivory hold the color together, with sunlight providing the strongest accent.

A small artwork for a magnetic surface

The 3 × 3-inch magnet is made from thin, rigid white hardboard with rounded square corners. The image is slightly inset within a continuous thin white border. Its smooth printed face keeps the artwork distinct from the surface beneath it. The magnet uses the same composition as its coordinating canvas, in a smaller everyday format.

A detail from Sol & Sombra

Sol & Sombra takes its inspiration from a lived courtyard home in an unnamed southern Spanish town. Its world is shaped by the relationship between brilliant sun and cooling shade, privacy and welcome. Limewash, handled wood, terracotta, foliage, water, and blue ceramic appear through ordinary domestic moments. This piece brings one part of that imagined home into an object to live with.

Keep it where daily life happens

Place it on a compatible refrigerator door or magnetic noticeboard, where the scene can become part of the place you leave a reminder or look for a note. The compact square is an accessible way to collect the artwork without finding space for a larger display. It also makes a thoughtful small gift for someone drawn to courtyard gardens, painted ceramics, and sunlight on old walls.
