Three Guardians of the River

Keepers of the Nile is a three-piece set of framed canvas artwork celebrating the wildlife of Lapis & Lotus. An elegant ibis stands among papyrus, a poised cat rests beside lotus flowers, and a watchful falcon perches above a blooming lotus.

Presented exclusively as a trio, the three 5 × 5 artworks share a softly illustrated palette of ivory, warm stone, muted gold, papyrus green, and deep charcoal. Each composition has its own character, while the repeated Nile botanicals create a natural connection across the set.

Each design is professionally printed on canvas and mounted within its own deep 5 × 5 shadowbox frame. The generous matting and dimensional presentation give each animal space to become the focal point, creating the feeling of three small natural-history studies gathered into a private collection.

Wildlife Along the Nile

Lapis & Lotus imagines ancient Egypt as a living world rather than a landscape of ruins. Lotus blossoms open across reflecting pools, papyrus grows beside the river, palms shade warm limestone courtyards, and wildlife moves naturally between gardens and water.

The ibis, cat, and falcon each offer a different glimpse into that landscape. The long, graceful form of the ibis belongs naturally among the river reeds. The cat sits quietly beside an opening lotus. Above another cluster of flowers, the falcon brings a strong, watchful silhouette to the final composition.

Together, they create a small study of the animals and botanicals that help give Lapis & Lotus its sense of place.
