The Trail Before Dawn is a 1-inch round Story Pendant from Mirabilia’s Wanderland collection. Its miniature artwork depicts an open compass resting on a folded map, with a red route traced across the paper. Beyond the rocky foreground, pines descend toward a distant lake and mountains meet the first warm light.

The scene captures a moment of preparation. The map is open, the bearings are there to be taken, and the landscape ahead remains much larger than the small stretch already marked.

Miniature artwork, thoughtfully assembled

Designed in-house by Mirabilia, the illustration sits beneath a smooth glass cabochon that protects the artwork. A metal-plated setting frames the scene, and a coordinating 20-inch necklace cord with a matching clasp completes the piece.

The necklace is thoughtfully assembled, lightweight, and comfortable for everyday wear. Within its small circular format, the artwork balances the intimate detail of the compass and paper map with the breadth of the mountain view. Warm cream, amber, pine green, and layered blues connect the objects close at hand with the changing light beyond them.
