Water Against the Wall Canvas

Water Against the Wall Canvas is an 8 × 8-inch canvas featuring a detailed courtyard scene, bordered by a narrow edge of white canvas.

Water, reflected light, and painted ceramic

A round stone washbasin catches the light beneath a pale courtyard wall. At the right, an ivory pitcher carries blue botanical curves and ochre flowers. The left side remains open for the shifting pattern of reflected water light. A small flowering stem enters from above, and terracotta paving warms the lower edge of the scene.

The pitcher suggests the simple act of filling the basin without adding a figure or prescribing a complete story. Rough stone, rippled water, and the smooth decorated vessel create a close study of different surfaces. The result brings attention to a small, practical corner of a lived home.

An 8 × 8-inch canvas artwork

The square canvas has a one-inch gallery wrap and a narrow quarter-inch white border around the printed image. That exposed canvas edge gives the scene a clear boundary while keeping the overall format compact. The composition is printed as a single artwork; the textures and objects depicted within it are part of the image.

A detail from Sol & Sombra

Sol & Sombra takes its inspiration from a lived courtyard home in an unnamed southern Spanish town. Its world is shaped by the relationship between brilliant sun and cooling shade, privacy and welcome. Limewash, handled wood, terracotta, foliage, water, and blue ceramic appear through ordinary domestic moments. This piece brings one part of that imagined home into an object to live with.

Display at a smaller scale

The eight-inch format suits a bookshelf, entry console, or a small arrangement of collected objects. Let it stand against a stable backing on a shelf, or incorporate it into an existing art display. Its square shape works where a larger picture would dominate, while still leaving room to notice the details. The same artwork is also available as a three-inch magnet, sold separately.
